When I first decided to run for the Alaska House, it wasn’t because I wanted a title — it was because I wanted to make a difference for the people of North Pole and House District 33. Our communities deserve a representative who listens, who keeps his word, and who remembers that elected officials work for the people — not the other way around. That’s how I’ve served, and how I’ll keep serving if I’m honored to earn your vote again. Here are the principles that guide every decision I make in Juneau.

Protecting Your Permanent Fund Dividend

The Permanent Fund Dividend belongs to the people of Alaska. It’s not a government program — it’s your share of Alaska’s resource wealth. I’ve consistently advocated that we follow the law and pay a full statutory PFD. Just this year, when an amendment was offered to fund the full statutory PFD, I voted for it and spoke on the House floor urging my colleagues to do the same. I’ll keep standing up for a full, fair, and predictable Permanent Fund Dividend for every eligible Alaskan.

Lowering Energy Costs and the Cost of Living

Interior families pay some of the highest energy bills in the country, and the cost of everything else follows. I support responsible Interior energy development and bringing affordable, reliable energy — including natural gas — to the Fairbanks area, so families can heat their homes and fuel their lives without breaking the budget. Lower energy costs mean a lower cost of living for everyone.

Living Within Our Means

Families balance their budgets, and state government should too. We should spend taxpayer dollars carefully, cut waste, and live within our means. Alaska already has the roadmap: the Executive Budget Act requires performance-based budgeting — agencies must set measurable goals, evaluate results, and rank programs by effectiveness. The problem is that neither branch consistently follows it. If they simply followed the law, lawmakers would have what they need to identify waste, fund what works, and make responsible decisions without asking taxpayers to pay more. I’ve pushed this approach since my first day in office, and I’ll keep at it.

Keeping Alaska Open for Business

Alaska has incredible opportunities, but we can’t create jobs while putting unnecessary obstacles in front of the people who build our economy. I support responsible development of our oil, gas, mining, timber, and other resources because those industries provide good-paying jobs, strengthen our economy, and keep Alaska strong.

Protecting Our Freedoms

I took an oath to support and defend the Constitution, and I take it seriously. I’ll keep standing up for life, the Second Amendment, free speech, religious liberty, and the individual rights that make our state strong.

Safe Communities

Every family deserves to feel safe at home and in their neighborhood. I support our law enforcement officers, believe criminals should be held accountable, and will keep working to improve public safety across Alaska.

Parents Know Their Children Best

Parents — not politicians or bureaucrats — should have the primary voice in their children’s education. Every child deserves an excellent education, and every parent deserves the freedom to be involved in the decisions that shape their child’s future.

Strong Families, Strong Communities

Strong families are the foundation of a strong Alaska. I believe every human life is a gift from God and deserves to be protected. As a pro-life legislator, I’ll keep standing up for the unborn, supporting mothers and families, and defending the values that make our communities strong.

Above all, my job is to represent you. Whether it’s the cost of living, the Permanent Fund Dividend, public safety, energy, or our constitutional freedoms, my decisions are guided by the people I represent — not political insiders or special interests.
